While visiting in Houston, Clark was reminded of a wonderful Y leader, Cathy Duchon. Check out my facebook page WORK, PLAY, PRAY HARD to see the video. Cathy is a retired CEO but continues to give volunteering with the YMCA World Service.
Clark and I had such a great time at the NAYDO Conference! His presentation was so well attended—over 240 YMCA folks came to hear about his 50 years of wisdom in his stellar career. We also sold books in the exhibit hall and SOLD OUT of books we brought. Thanks to all who purchased books.
Check out my Facebook page WORK, PLAY, PRAY HARD to see the video where Clark gives a “Shoutout” to Dan Dummermuth. Clark hired Dan years ago to be the exec and open the Y in Franklin, Tennessee, and felt he had “the right stuff” to be a leader—He was right!
Julius Jones was CEO of the Pittsburgh YMCA for 23 years. He was bigger-than-life and an inspiration to all he met. Check out my Facebook page WORK, PLAY, PRAY HARD to see the video where Clark gives a “Shoutout” to Julius who recently passed away. His continued work with the YMCA World Service after retirement impressed my husband and many others.

I enjoyed speaking to the group encouraging them to “tell your own story.” I was able to give suggestions and show concrete ways they could leave a legacy by writing. Clark was…
A special “shout out” to CEO John Hoey for ordering 190 books for his staff. Clark spoke at their recent conference. Two of his staff were so clever—they had CLARK bars on each table immediately after Clark’s speech. This is an impressive team with the audience so engaged during my husband’s speech. If your staff is interested in having Clark speak, please contact me at email@example.com. Thanks to John and the Maryland area YMCA.

If you have trouble finding a way to meet and have a book club, here’s how Sarah does it: “We ‘meet’ virtually once a month to discuss the chosen book.
